On July 11, 2017, Silvia departed for Marrakech on a flight from Turin with a layover in Madrid, where her kitten suddenly vanished. It's hard to say whether it was an error by the airline staff or if the carrier, perhaps defective, allowed an escape route. The fact is that Sole had disappeared without a trace.
An adventure worthy of a movie
It seemed there was nothing left to do, but Silvia didn't give up and began plastering the airport with flyers and posting appeals on social networks and online. However, it took a full fifty days before any news of the kitten surfaced—an adventure very similar to that of Viktor Navorski, the endearing protagonist of the famous film "The Terminal" starring Tom Hanks. Throughout that entire period, it appears Sole lived at the airport, feeding on whatever she could find and getting by as best she could.
Coming home
Right there at the airport, she was found by a young man who, fortunately, had read Silvia's desperate appeals and immediately sent her a selfie with the kitten. A happy ending, then: thanks to her owner's determination, Sole returned home safely, into the arms of those who love her!
