So many days of fear for Black, who disappeared on New Year's Eve.
The 8-year-old German Shepherd, who lives in Santa Giustina in Colle (Padua), ran away frightened by the fireworks during the New Year's celebrations, leaving no trace for almost three weeks.
The search
The family immediately began searching and spread the news of his disappearance through social media and by distributing flyers, yet there seemed to be no trace of Black and for 18 days nothing was heard of him.
The sighting in Verona area
It was thanks to word of mouth on social media that the dog was finally found. Some people had spotted a dog that looked very similar to Black near Legnago (VR) and, after some verification... yes, it was really him!
The happy ending
Just imagine, frightened and disoriented, Black had traveled more than 100 km since he had left home. Confirming how much fear and hardship he must have experienced, his condition was truly critical: curled up in a hole in the ground, skeletal, at the end of his strength.
Now fortunately Black is back home, cuddled and cared for by the love of his family!
