How many posts do we read every day from desperate people searching for their lost four-legged friends?
Sometimes, though, the roles are reversed and it's the animals who, with all their strength, try to get back to their owners.
That's what happened in North Carolina, United States: Toby, a beautiful 7-year-old orange tabby, had been given by his family to new people, but it wasn't what he wanted.
For this reason, he traveled 19 kilometers to get back home, where however no one wanted him anymore.
His former owners, in fact, wanting to get rid of the cat once and for all, took him to a shelter, asking the staff to euthanize him. They, shocked and outraged by such a request, instead launched a social media campaign to give Toby a happy life with a new family, with the slogan: "He would travel 19 kilometers for you: would you travel 1 to save his life?"
In the end, fortunately, everything turned out for the best: Toby was adopted by loving people and now even has his own Instagram page!
