When we say that the affection animals feel for humans is a form of pure love, we think of stories like the one we're about to tell you.
Stella is a German Shepherd whose owner, unfortunately, was struck by Covid-19. As his condition worsened, the man was rushed to Cisanello Hospital in Pisa where, sadly, he lost his battle against the terrible disease.
Meanwhile Stella, left all alone and sad, at a certain point couldn't take it anymore: she escaped through the gate and started wandering. She was found many hours later, exhausted, not far from the hospital. No one can imagine how Stella could have understood that her owner was there. No one can say how, afterwards, she somehow understood that her friend was no more and became even more disheartened.
Fortunately, there was a small happy ending for the dog: a relative of her owner adopted her, giving her a new home and a new family able to give her the love she deserves.
We hope that Stella will now finally find again the energy and joy that define her!
